  • We will be reviewing all safety procedures in the months of January and February. This will include a CODE RED drill, fire drill, and bus safety. Having a plan is essential in any emergency situation. With that in mind, we would like you to also review your home emergency plans. Below are a few critical reminders for the winter months:

    • Check to make sure you have a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector (if needed) in your home.
    • Have a meeting place pre-arranged in the event of an emergency event in your home.
    • Have a plan in place for early dismissal from school for weather conditions or other emergency situations. Make sure your child knows and understands the plan.
    • Encourage your child to dress for the weather, especially when we have bitterly cold temperatures.

Thank you for all that you do every day to support Spring Mills Middle School. We are honored to have you as part of our school.
