One of my favorite things in my classroom?
A Boyd's bear puppet my husband got me when I transferred from teaching second grade to kindergarten.  Going to HES and kindergarten was a great decision.  Of course, it's the children in the classroom that make my day special.
What did I want to be when I was little?
When I was little I wanted to be either a teacher or a nurse.  Nursing wasn't for me because I tend to pass out when I see blood.  I also thought about being an UPS driver because I loved the idea of delivering presents.  My mother encouraged me to become a teacher.
Important lessons:
The Golden Rule! And my mother reminded me often that you get more with honey than vinegar.
What's the one thing I hope students learn?
Learning is a life long adventure.  They need to be willing to explore and learn new things.
