Meet Our Guidance Counselors
-
Mrs. Betsy MorganGood day and best wishes to you and your student as you begin your journey through at South Middle School!
This will be my twenty-fourth year in school guidance and I have enjoyed it's journey!
I began my counseling career in 1992 as a counselor at South Hagerstown High School in Washington County Maryland. There, I was an integral part of the Student Assistant Program which targeted early intervention for students for drug and alcohol abuse. I was also a member of the SAT Team as well and working cooperatively with the Washington County Office of Probation and the Washington County Health Department.
In the year 2000, I accepted a position with Martinsburg High School and continued my role of counselor until 2007 when I accepted a position at South Middle School.
I am a graduate of Shepherd University, with a major in English and a double minor in Speech and Drama.
I hold a Masters in Counseling from West Virginia University with an emphasis on school guidance and additional masters work in public education.
My husband and I have lived here most of our lives, and have two sons, both graduates of South Middle School and Martinsburg High School.
As you navigate through the middle school years, please know we are here to help and assist you and your student as best we can!
My schedule allows me to be here Monday through Friday so please let me know how I can help!
Our number is 304-267-3545!
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Morgan,
Guidance, South Middle School
