    Payment is due at the time registration forms are submitted.

AP Exam Registration Steps

    1. Enroll in AP Classroom for each AP Course in your schedule
      • Teachers have and display this code in their classroom.
    2. Complete the AP Exam Registration Form
      • This form is available in the Counseling Center and will be handed out in classrooms in September.
    3. Pay the AP Exam Registration Fee
      • Exam fees are set by College Board and are due at the time of registration.
    4. Submit completed registration forms and fee money to Mr. Davis in the Counseling Center.

    Important Registration Information

    • Late registration incurs a $40 late fee. Don't miss the November deadline!
    • Canceling exams or leaving an exam unused incurs a $40 fee.
    • Moving exams to a late testing date incurs a $40 fee after March begins. Check your spring calenders EARLY!

What is AP?

  • Advanced Placement (AP) is a program established by College Board, the makers of the SAT. This program brings intro-level college courses into high schools across the nation. These classes can earn you college credit depending on what college or university you attend after high school. Grades in AP classes are weighted and calculated using the State’s Uniform Grading Policy that can be found in the Program of Studies.

    ​All AP courses offer a cumulative exam at the end of the year, typically in May. If a college or university accepts AP courses for college credit, they usually require a passing score. AP exams are scored on a scale of 1-5 with anything above a 3 largely considered passing. The minimum passing score will vary between institutions. Here's a list of how AP classes transfer into WVU for example.
