11th Grade Course Information
Selecting Classes for Your Junior Year
-
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Sophomores will be updating their Personalized Education Plan (PEP) and completing their 11th grade course selections by December 22, 2022. School Counselors will be distributing necessary information to 10th graders through their English 10 classes during the week of November 28.
School Counselors will then meet individually with each student to go over their course requests and update their PEP throughout the month of December. Parents/Guardians are invited and encouraged to be a part of this process. Please look over your sophomore’s course request form & PEP and sign off on each. If you wish to schedule an appointment, please call or email your student’s school counselor.
As part of the “School to Career Program,” sophomores will select a career cluster along with a program of study. This information is listed on pages 24-54 in the Program of Studies, which is also located on the HHS School Counseling website, under “Graduation Requirements.”
Selection of courses play an important role in preparing for future options, so please plan appropriately.
The Hedgesville High School Counseling Department is committed to providing the most appropriate and challenging opportunities for your student’s post-secondary goals.
Sincerely,
Hedgesville High School Counselors
