What is Project AWARE?

    • Project AWARE is a program designed to help local education agencies:
      • Increase awareness of mental health issues among school-age youth
      • Provide students who have behavioral health issues with support and mental health therapy so that they may achieve during the school day
      • Connect students and families who may be experiencing substance use issues to resources for treatment and services in the community


    • All services provided by Project Aware are provided at no cost to the family.

What Will Project AWARE Do for You?

    • Integrate mental, behavioral, and emotional health within the school system


    • Provide qualifying students access to mental health services:
      • Behavioral health therapy services in the school or through tele-health
      • Family therapy at the providers office or through tele-health
      • Group therapy to students at participating schools


    • Provide students and families access to services to help them live a life free from addictive substances
      • Individual therapy for the student
      • Therapy, support, and referrals to services for the caregiver and family


    • Provide evidenced-based prevention education from kindergarten to 12th grade focusing on helping students live a life free from addictive substances
