 SecureVolunteer Background Check Information  
This Background Check Process is only for PASS and Talk-to-Me/Listener Volunteers. If you are wanting a background check for the purpose of chaperoning, then please visit Berkeley County Schools' main webpage and click on the "Secure Volunteer" link found on the right side of the page.

 
  Please review the "Summary of Your Rights Under the FCRA" and "Electronic Signature Disclosure" before proceeding. To open each document, place your cursor over the name of the document and right click on your computer mouse. When the next menu surfaces, please choose "open in a new window." The documents may also be accessed by clicking on the "Summary of Rights and Electronic Signature" link found on the PASS webpage, in the menu on the left side.

  The volunteer application process contains a request for confidential information in order to complete a background check through SecureVolunteer. A background check is required in order to volunteer with our students. Berkeley County Schools covers the cost of the background check since you are a volunteer for our students. Thus, we enter your profile information into SecureVolunteer to avoid your having to pay for the background check. The requested profile information includes your name, SSN, gender, DOB, address, etc. Your personal profile information will be destroyed once the background check has been completed.
