I received a Bachelor's Degree from Fairmont State College in 1989. I earned my Master's Degree in Reading from West Virginia University in 2005. I also achieved National Board Certification in Literacy in 2008.

About Me:I've been teaching since 1990. All of my teaching experience has taken place in Berkeley County.I've been happily married to Ron Lyons since August of 1990. We have four sons: Zach, Andrew, James, and Thomas.Also residing with us are two cocker spaniels, Buster and Snoopy.In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading to learn and for pleasure, running, hiking, gardening, quilting, and photography.What did I want to be when I was little?I first had dreams of becoming a teacher when I was in first grade.
