A native of North Berkeley County, Mrs. Egress is a graduate of Martinsburg High School. While a student at MHS, Mrs. Egress was involved in several activities including: The Bulldog Marching Band (Color Guard Co-Captain), Good Times Show Choir, Chamber Choir, Honor Choir, Société Honoraire de Français, National Honor Society, and the 24/1100 Club.
After high school, she earned her BS in Family and Consumer Science from Shepherd University. After working in industry for several years, Mrs. Egress returned to Shepherd to earn her MAT with a concentration in FACS. Since then, she has continued her studies at Marshall University and West Virginia University.
In 2006, Mrs. E began her career in education with the West Virginia Department of Education. In 2010, she was selected to teach Nutrition and Food Science courses at Shepherd University. Mrs. Egress came back to Berkeley County Schools in 2012. Her first position was TIS/Computer Science at Martinsburg North Middle. When Spring Mills High School opened, she was honored to be the school's first FACS teacher. Mrs. Egress feels blessed to be back home at MHS.
