Miss Shelly Eldridge -Universal Pre K Teacher

Miss Shelly holds a Master’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education.  Her most important role is the wife to Darell (her husband and 4th grade teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools) and mother to Zoe (their daughter, 3rd grade student at Potomack Elementary) and Logan (their son, Kindergarten student at Marlowe Elem.).  Their family resides in Martinsburg, where they built a house almost seven years ago.  This is Miss Shelly’s fifth year teaching Universal Pre K, and her second year at Marlowe Elementary, yet her 15th year in the Early Childhood field. Her passion for children shines as she is committed to each child as an individual and the early education field.  Miss Shelly leads training opportunities for educators and parents in our region on topics related to the field as well as assists child development centers with consulting in her spare time.

Miss Shelly also travels frequently helping to lead teams of people in countries that are less fortunate than ours teaching English, life skills, sports, parenting tips, and so much more.  The last two years, Miss Shelly and her husband have spent five weeks of their summer in Costa Rica helping the state of Guanacaste with their family.  Miss Shelly is also active with her church helping in an arrangement of areas and volunteers within the community.  She is a HUGE Washington Redskins fan (GO SKINS) and supports her husband in his deep love for the Detroit Tigers.  Her other hobbies include cooking, baking, canning, doing crafts with her daughter, connecting with family and friends, and shopping!

In the classroom, Miss Shelly loves teaching all subjects.  She loves to add technology into many aspects of the classroom and lessons.  Artwork will fill our walls; stories will fill our minds, and love within our hearts.  In her classroom; manners and values are just as important as cognitive development.  With a program based on the social emotional aspects of learning, Miss Shelly helps her students learn how to make smart choices to benefit their life now and for the many years to come.  Monthly fun gatherings will keep parents and loved ones included in your little one's life at school and field trips will open their eyes up to the community in which we live in.

It's so much fun to be in Pre K!

Updated Snack Policy

Due to the increased number of students who have allergies this year at Marlowe, we will be unable to accept snacks this year.  We appreciate those who have already supplied us with snacks and we will be sending those items back home this week.  Thank you for helping to keep all of our students safe!

Please communicate with Miss Shelly via email if you have already brought in snacks to ensure we send them home with your child.
