The North Middle School Athletic Program offers boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, and cross country and is open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. While student athletes enjoy representing their school in competitions across the city and state, an emphasis is placed on developing not just sport-specific skills, but also teaching life lessons such as teamwork, sportsmanship, goal setting, overcoming adversity, and accountability. In addition, the district athletic program supports student achievement. As representatives of their respective school teams, student-athletes are held accountable for their performance in the classroom, in the school hallways, and in the community. All athletes are also required to meet academic requirements (3.0 GPA) throughout the sports seasons. If an athlete does not meet those academic requirements, he/she will not be allowed to participate in interscholastic competition.
Students must have a current sports physical (after June 1st, 2017) on file with the Athletic Director to be eligible for interscholastic sports. Download and print the Student Physical here.
Athletic Fee $15.00 per student
***Please Note – Students are NOT allowed to stay after school to watch an athletic event. Doors will open at 5:30 and students must have a ride immediately following the game. Students not adhering to these rules and our school rules will not be permitted to stay for future athletic events.
