Please review and verify this information with your student(s) for the upcoming school year. Printed copies of this publication are available at your student's school.

Acceptable Use Policy - BCS
Berkeley County Schools Policy, Acceptable Use of Technology and Networks, is a policy name change and the replacement of the repealed policy, Educational Purpose and Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources Technologies and the Internet to: 1) simplify the language of the policy; 2) account for new and emerging technologies; and 3) update the Acceptable Use Agreements & Parental Consent and Waiver Forms. This rule repeals and replaces BERKELEY COUNTY FILE: JT STUDENTS “Educational Purpose and Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources and the Internet”.

Attendance Policy Information
The Law States: The parent/guardian of any student who has accumulated three (3) or more absences will be mailed a letter notifying them of absences.

Berkeley County Schools Student Dress Code
The Berkeley County Board of Education recognizes that clothing and footwear worn by students in its public schools can often preoccupy and distract students from their major purpose for being in school, which is obtaining an education.

Non-Discrimination Grievance Procedures
Federal regulations require Berkeley County Schools to notify all students, employees, parents and guardians of its revised Non-Discrimination Grievance Procedures.
