Musselman High School students took 1st and 3rd in both categories of the MSAHF photography contest.
1st place wins $100 and a plaque. 3rd place wins $25. Congrats to 1st place winners Ana Frauenfelder (Apples with a live subject) and Jordan Allen (Apples only), 3rd place winners Ellie Bonham (Apples with a live subject) and Grace Demmert (Apples only)!!
Entries will be on display in the showcases by the theatre entrance. We are proud of all the students that entered!
Sophomores who are interested in touring James Rumsey on Nov 9 need to turn in their permission slips to Guidance by Nov. 2. Permission slips can be picked up in Guidance.
Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship application is now available to seniors. If you have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and plan on enrolling in a two or four year college this $2,500 scholarship is worth checking out. Stop by Guidance for information.
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be given on November 2nd. This is a date change. Students in grades 10th-12th grades who are interested in the military should register for this test. See your English teacher or go to Guidance by Nov 1 to sign up.
Every senior planning to attend a 1, 2, or 4 year school needs to complete the FAFSA. Free FAFSA Workshops will be available TODAY @ 6 PM and October 31 @ 1 PM. See the school website or the counseling website for additional FAFSA workshops.
Any student interested in doing yard work and other chores around the house, stop by the Counseling Office for information. Pay would be $10.00/hr with up to 3 hours per week.
Testing out time is here! The deadline to apply is November 5th. Applications are available in Guidance.
The Monster Dash 5K will take place November 3 beginning at 4:15pm. Registration is open through the day of the event. The price is $20 if you register by October 12. After that date, the price will increase to $25 and there is no guarantee of a shirt. See the school website for a link to register online or a form to print out.
The Counseling Office encourages Seniors to build your Parchment account. This is an electronic transcript program. You can go to applemen.org and click on the blue icon, "order records". When you apply to a college your account will be ready for you to request your transcript to be sent electronically.
