Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Michele Ransom
I would like to take a few minutes to introduce myself to you. My name is Michele Ransom, and I am the school counselor here at Rosemlont Elementary School. I will be here every day from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
I will perform many duties as your school's counselor. I will teach developmental guidance to your children in the classroom setting. Developmental Guidance includes such things like getting along with others, problem solving skills, character education activities, career information as well as many other topics.
I also meet with children individually, if needed. Sometimes children have problems that they need help working out. I am available to meet with them either by student, teacher or parent request. If you have any specific concerns that you would like to have me address, please contact me.
I also hope to have some small groups with some of the students to discuss issues such as loss/grief, behavioral problems, attendance, self-esteem, and social skills. If your child is selected to be part of a group, a permission slip will be sent home that needs to be returned in order for the child to participate.
I also monitor students' attendance at school. It is very important to students to be in school daily unless they are ill or have an acceptable excuse.
I encourage anyone who has questions or concerns to contact me here at school. I look forward to meeting and working with you and your children this school year.
Michele Ransom, Counselor
