Gerrardstown Welcome Toolkit

Welcome to Gerrardstown Elementary!

  • Dear Gerrardstown parents, community members, and friends,

As we begin the school year at Gerrardstown Elementary School, I want you to know that I have an unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of our students.  School is a place where every child should feel safe to learn and play, along with being a place where all students master the curriculum and discover the way they learn best.  I know that it is my job as the principal to be intentional and purposeful in ensuring that student learning and well-being are the centerpiece of our school.

Gerrardstown Elementary has a lot to be proud of.  It is a wonderful school with a rich history. The teachers at Gerrardstown have a track record of teaching and learning excellence.  We offer many wonderful activities both in and out of the classroom for students and community members to participate in throughout the school year. We also have an outstanding Parent Teacher Organization and welcome parent and community involvement in our school.  For information on our activities and organizations, or if you are interested in volunteering, please visit the school’s website and click on the “Activities” link or the link to be a “Volunteer Pathfinder.”

At Gerrardstown Elementary, we embrace the challenges of the future while we continue to cherish and celebrate the traditions of the past.  Our remarkable staff, involved parents, and committed students come together to make Gerrardstown a wonderful school that we can all be proud of.
