    My Background

Hi! My name is Julie Stark, and I am the full-time counselor at Mill Creek Intermediate.  I grew up in Shepherdstown, WV and went to college at Towson University and West Virginia University.  Then, I attended graduate school at Loyola University and graduated with a master's degree in clinical psychology.  I worked in Maryland at a maximum security prison for about 12 years as a psychology associate, conducting psychological testing, as well as individual and group counseling with adolescents and adults.  In 2009, my husband and I decided to move to West Virginia to be closer to family, as we raised our two daughters.  My husband changed careers soon after moving and entered the Berkeley County School system.  I eventually went back to school to obtain my master's degree in school counseling, so I could also be in the Berkeley County School system, because I love working with the students.  It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I look forward to a great year working with staff, students, families and the community.  Please feel free to contact me to address any questions or concerns you may have.

    My Background

Hello, my name is Liz Jenkins.  I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part-time school counselor at Mill Creek Intermediate. Growing up in Berkeley County, I am proud to say, paved the way for my educational, military, and professional success.  I received my RBA in humanities with a focus in early childhood development and counseling in 2016, and will be working on my master's degree in school counseling at Marshall University this upcoming school year!  Over the past three years, I have been able to work as a substitute teacher for the Berkeley County School system and Wee Disciples Christian Academy.  Overall, I am looking forward to working with the students, teachers, staff, administrative team and parents to encourage each student to strive to achieve their goals.

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Stark or me, if you have any questions about our school counseling program.
