SMMS Local School Improvement Council
The West Virginia state legislature created a mandate in 2019 for our schools to create a Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) of elected educational stakeholders. The purpose of LSIC is to foster collaboration between parents, school staff, and students to promote the educational goals of the school. The council meets four times during the school year. The meetings are open to the public but only elected committee members may vote on motions. We will post meeting dates, agendas, and minutes from prior meetings will be posted on this page. You can contact the LSIC chair with any questions or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org
Our current chairperson is Karen Lewis-Dryden.
