• Hello students and parents,

I hope you all are staying safe and healthy. If you have completed the art activities in your packets and if you would like to introduce more art content to your children over spring break or in your free time, you are welcome to try out these cool resources.

    Art Projects for Kids Website

This website has a lot of projects that have a good range of materials and themes. Kids can do a lot of these projects with just a pencil and some crayons, but they also offer some painting, chalk, sculpture, and oil pastel projects for those of you who may have more art supplies at home. If you look through some of the tabs on the website, you can search by grade level, by theme, or by material.

    Kids Paint App

This is a cool app I found to help kids make digital artwork. I thought this would be fun to include for students who do not have as many art supplies and/or would like to try something different. They can draw over top pictures they take or make their own pictures from scratch. There are different digital brushes and sizes kids can select from and a vast amount of colors to choose from. Everything is relatively simple, even saving and starting over, but you may want to explain how it works to your child after going through the app yourself.  If your device is not an android, I know there are a lot of similar apps in the apple store, but I have not been able to personally check them out.

If you have any questions or if you would like to touch base with me, please feel free to reach out to me through my email which is ashley.fritsch@k12.wv.us . Thank-you for working so hard with us and your children, please stay safe out there.
