School Year Calendar & Events

  • Plan ahead for this school year with our calendar highlights. Calendars are developed each spring and are approved by the School Board/State of WV in May.

In the event of school closings due to inclement weather or other emergencies, calendars may be adjusted to ensure the required number of instructional hours. Every effort will be made to communicate calendar adjustments to parents, students and staff as soon as possible.

The first 5 days that schools are closed for inclement weather will be made-up by using accrued instructional time/equivalent time and will not require additional instructional days to be added to the calendar. If schools are closed for 6 or more days, this will require using non-instructional days and/or out-of-calendar days to make-up instructional days lost.
**The last day for students and/or staff could be as late as June 30 to guarantee 180 instructional days. Spring Break Out-of-Calendar Days can be converted to instructional days.
