Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Morning Drop-Off

For returning students and their families there are some changes to our daily operations here at Inwood Primary.

Pre-K will be dropping off students from 8:00-8:15 A.M. We ask that any parents dropping off K-2 students to not be here on school property any earlier than 8:15 A.M. so we can get all of the Pre-K students into the building.  K-2 students are not to be dropped off earlier than 8:20 A.M.

When dropping off students in the morning, please enter the school parking lot by the North entrance.  Continue around to the South entrance where a faculty member will meet your car and see that your student enters the building safely.  If there are other cars in front of you, maintain a single row.  Two rows make it dangerous for the students exiting their vehicles.

No students should be dropped off at the North entrance.  This is for buses only.

Students are tardy after 8:45 and must be walked in the front entrance and signed in.

Afternoon Pick-Up

Pre-K dismissal will begin at 2:00 and should take about 30 minutes.

K-2 dismissal begins at 3:15 and we ask that K-2 pick-up parents do not arrive prior to 2:45.

When picking up students after school, please enter the school parking lot in the same manner, by the North entrance.  Continue around to the South entrance where a faculty member will bring your child to your vehicle.  After school, however, please form two lines of vehicles.  This will allow all vehicles to be safely in the parking lot and off of Rt. 11.

Identification may be requested by staff members. If your child is being picked up by another family member or friend you will need to send a note to school with your child that morning so that our staff will be aware of that change.

Change of Transportation: If your child is riding a different bus home than their regular bus a note will need to be sent to school, signed by the parents notifying the staff of that change.

If your child will be going home after school with another child a note from both children’s parents will be required to be sent to school that day.
