History of Spring Mills Middle

Spring Mills Middle School opened in 2004 to become known as the home of the Patriots.  The school includes grades six, seven and eight growing to 850 plus students.  Academics are a priority with the school earning an “A” rating from the state in 2015.  The school ranks 14th out of 176 West Virginia middle schools.

The students at Spring Mills Middle have a variety of extra-curricular activities to choose from that happen during the school day and after the school day such as cooking, art, music, and STEAM along with cross-country and basketball.

Spring Mills Middle has a long standing partnership with our business partner, Brown’s Funeral Home.

Our "Patriots" also participate in the American Heart Association’s Hoops for Hearts and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to stress the importance of healthy life choices while caring for others in our community.
