If my home is assessed for $100,000.00, how much would be contributed to the school excess levy?

A primary residence is Class II or 45.00 cents per 100 dollars in assessed value.  To calculate the school excess levy contribution, divide the assessed value of your home by 100, then multiply that by .45 to realize the amount of your school levy contribution.  EXAMPLE:  A primary residence assessed at $100,000 (after the 60% assessor adjustment) would contribute $450.00.  It is important to note that the contribution is calculated based upon assessed value, not appraised value.
