Welcome to Our School

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Welcome to Mill Creek Intermediate School, home of the SOARing Cardinals!  At Mill Creek, we will inspire and empower all learners, preparing them for limitless opportunities.  It is our mission to provide a safe, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment with multiple pathways to success.  We believe that our staff and students will be successful by being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. 

Collectively, our faculty and staff will work with you to master our top priorities and goals.  First, we will meet or exceed curriculum standards and work toward each student showing academic growth.  Secondly, we will develop interpersonal skills among our student and expect good behavior and ethical character in a bullying-free environment.  Finally, we will make a commitment to make this school year the best for your child. 

In closing, I would like to invite you to take an active role in your child’s education.  At Mill Creek Intermediate, we believe that education is a shared responsibility, and achievement requires the commitment and participation of students, staff, family and the community.

Where to Take Your Questions & Concerns

Berkeley County Schools values open and respectful communication to ensure questions and concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.

Safety concerns should always be reported immediately to the school principal or law enforcement. Staff, families, and community members are also welcome to share concerns with the Board of Education; these concerns will first be directed to the appropriate staff member, department, or the Superintendent for resolution. We believe the most effective communication happens directly—by phone or email—rather than on social media.
