Let’s Finish Strong! 🚀
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, Berkeley County Schools is encouraging all students to stay focused and finish strong by making attendance a priority. These last few weeks are important for reinforcing what students have learned, celebrating academic growth, and preparing for the next chapter. Every day matters, and being present makes a difference.
Your student is an essential part of the classroom, and we appreciate you trusting us to guide and support them throughout the school year. Consistent attendance helps students stay engaged, connected, and ready to end the year successfully.
Let’s keep the momentum going, show up, and finish the year strong together! #FinishStrong #AttendanceMatters

Berkeley County Schools (PreK–12) will be closed on Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, 2026, due to continued sidewalk and bus stop clearing in many subdivisions. All evening activities are canceled. Please note that the next weather-related cancellation will begin remote learning days for students.
We appreciate the partnership of the City of Martinsburg and the WV Department of Highways in clearing roadways and walkways across our community.
Unfortunately, this week has not provided enough warm temperatures to fully clear bus routes and ensure safe access to bus stops and walkways for students.
We understand that changes to school schedules can present challenges for families; however, our top priority remains the safety of our students and staff. We hope this provides you with enough notice to plan accordingly for the remainder of the week, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday
Berkeley County Schools (PreK–12) will be closed on Monday, January 26, and Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to snow and cold temperatures. These will be the first two inclement weather days utilized this school year. Stay safe and warm!
Due to cold temperatures, Berkeley County Schools (PreK-12) will operate on a 2-hour delay on Monday, December 15, 2025. We will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the evening and into the morning to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Due to a widespread outage affecting platforms accessed through K12 email, including Schoology, these systems are currently unavailable. Students and families may use K12 email to communicate with teachers. We appreciate your patience as we await further guidance. Students in grades K–2 will receive paper report cards with their child today. An update will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.
