Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Orchard View Intermediate School and the 2023-2024 school year! We are very excited to welcome our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to a great academic experience.  Our focus at Orchard View Intermediate is to provide every student with a rigorous curriculum to meet our students' individual needs.  Our classroom activities and services are designed to promote student growth academically, socially, and emotionally.  

Each child will receive a Freedom Flyers Planner and a Take Home Folder.  Please review the planner daily with your child and sign off on the correct page.  Also, check the Take Home Folder daily to know what assignments/paperwork should stay at home and which should be returned to school.  This will ensure close communication with teachers and allow you to ensure that your child is getting his/her assignments completed.  Our teachers also utilize Class DoJo, so connecting to your child's class is another way for you to be in the know and communicate with your child's teachers.

As parents, we encourage you to be active members of our Freedom Flyers team.  The P.T.O. and Watch D.O.G.S. are two great ways that parents can be involved in school.  Please review this handbook to find answers to your most frequently asked questions.  Be sure to attend conferences, communicate with teachers, check planners, and check Schoology for grades throughout the year.
