This week, our 5th grade students took an exciting step toward their future as they visited North Middle School for their annual “Step Up Day” on March 25th! During their visit, students had the opportunity to explore what life will be like next year as middle schoolers. They met teachers, participated in hands-on classroom activities, and learned about daily routines and expectations. Students also heard from the principal, Mr. Pittsnogle, who welcomed them and shared encouraging words about the transition to middle school.

The visit also included wonderful performances by North Middle’s talented choir, strings, and band students—giving our 5th graders a glimpse into the many opportunities available to them beyond the classroom.

Prior to the trip, school counselors at North Middle provided a helpful video for students to watch in their classrooms. This video highlights important rules, procedures, and what to expect in middle school. We encourage parents to take a few minutes to watch the video (linked below) so you can support your child during this exciting transition.
