Dear Families,
We want to make you aware of a situation that occurred during tonight’s girls’ basketball game. A student responsibly reported to an adult that a visiting student may have been in possession of a weapon. School staff immediately contacted law enforcement, and State Police responded promptly to investigate.
The investigation found that a weapon was located in the student’s vehicle. The weapon was recovered, and there is no ongoing threat to students, staff, or spectators. The investigation will continue in coordination with law enforcement, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with school policies.
We are extremely proud of our students for demonstrating responsibility and following the important message of “see something, say something.” Their quick action played a key role in ensuring the safety of everyone present.
Student safety remains our highest priority. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Angie Milliman, Principal
