Berkeley County Schools (PreK–12) will be closed on Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, 2026, due to continued sidewalk and bus stop clearing in many subdivisions. All evening activities are canceled. Please note that the next weather-related cancellation will begin remote learning days for students.
We appreciate the partnership of the City of Martinsburg and the WV Department of Highways in clearing roadways and walkways across our community.
Unfortunately, this week has not provided enough warm temperatures to fully clear bus routes and ensure safe access to bus stops and walkways for students.
We understand that changes to school schedules can present challenges for families; however, our top priority remains the safety of our students and staff. We hope this provides you with enough notice to plan accordingly for the remainder of the week, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday
Berkeley County Schools (PreK–12) will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to snow removal and continued cold temperatures. This will be the third inclement weather day utilized this school year. Evening activities are canceled.
