At Martinsburg South Middle School, safety is a top priority. We strive to create a positive school climate and prepare staff to respond to emergencies. Our focus is to improve school safety and be proactive by purchasing Nightlock door security devices. To achieve this goal, we need help from the community and family members of South Middle School. A donation of $65 would sponsor one classroom device, but any amount would be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow is our day basketball game. Please wear Trojan gear or black and white to support our Lady Trojans as they take on the HMS Eagles. Reminder, we will have the concession stand open during the game; cash only.
Tomorrow is the last day to purchase tickets for the Day Basketball Game on 12/20. Cost is $5. We will also have a concession stand during the game. The menu is attached, only cash will be accepted.

Governor's School applications are now online at wvde.us/gov-schools/. Current 8th graders can apply for Governor's Schools of Literacy through Arts, Culture and History and Governor's STEM Institute at Green Bank Observatory. Current 7th graders can apply for the Governor's STEM Institute at WVU. STEM Institute applications are due to the state on April 12, 2024, and the Governor's Schools of Literacy through the Arts, Culture, and History are due to the state on March 29, 2024.
