This morning, a student on one of our buses reported to the driver that another student had a toy gun. Immediate action was taken, and the student’s backpack was searched finding a realistic looking pellet gun. Law enforcement was notified and is handling disciplinary action. We realize this may have been alarming for your child and we assure you that we react immediately when incidents such as this are reported.
Thank you to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department for their swift response and acknowledge those who came forward when recognizing this concern. As we continue this school year, I want to remind our school community that we must work together to promote student safety and success.
Thank you for your continued support.
