My name is Arlin Riggs and this is my second year at Hedgesville Middle School. School counseling was a career change for me and has always been my dream job. Previously I worked for an online university in enrollment management.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Shepherd University in 2012, MA in Psychology from American Military University in 2017, and an MA in Education in School Counseling from Frostburg University in 2020.

My hope is for my school counseling program to reach all my students, inspiring them to become lifelong learners, creative thinkers, and caring responsible citizens. I want all my students to feel connected, safe, and happy at school so they can challenge themselves in ways they never thought possible.

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my 2 daughters and our family pets.  We love to camping and kayaking in the warmer months.
