Berkeley County Schools will administer its annual Bullying Prevention Survey to students in grades K-12 by the third week of November. The survey is voluntary and does not collect student names. Parents/guardians who do not want their child to participate must notify their child’s school in writing by Friday, Oct. 30. Learn more and review sample surveys.

Hedgesville Middle School administration and law enforcement are aware of a social media threat that began circulating over the weekend. Because the content was reposted by an individual associated with Hedgesville Middle School, some believed the threat may be directed toward the school.
Law enforcement does not believe there is a direct threat toward Hedgesville Middle School or any Berkeley County School. However, the investigation remains active and ongoing.
As a precaution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at Hedgesville Middle School tomorrow morning to support and reassure students and staff.
We appreciate your support in reminding students not to share or repost threatening content they see on social media. Instead, students should report concerns or threats to a trusted adult or law enforcement.
