Recently, two of our high school Career and Technical Education programs were named among the top five in West Virginia, reflecting our district’s continued commitment to creating an educational experience that connects learning to purpose, passion, and lifelong opportunity.

We proudly serve nearly 20,000 students across four high schools, six middle schools, six intermediate schools, fifteen elementary schools, and a universal Pre-K program. Our vision is to inspire and empower all learners, preparing them for limitless opportunities. With over 3,000 dedicated staff members, BCS leads West Virginia in the number of National Board Certified Teachers.

As one of the state’s fastest-growing and most diverse districts, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment that offers multiple pathways to success. In 2024, 98% of our seniors graduated, earning more than $13 million in scholarships for college and technical training.

More than an educational system, BCS is a pillar of the Eastern Panhandle community. We foster nurturing spaces where students thrive and staff grow, supported by strong partnerships with local businesses and organizations. We’re proud to contribute to a skilled, educated workforce by preparing students to be college, career, or military ready.
