We are excited to welcome you and your newest learner to the BCS family! Please use the information below to help make your school enrollment process quick and easy.

Per state code, students must be 5 years of age by June 30, 2026, to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Berkeley County Schools offers an early entry to Kindergarten option for children who turn five (5) between July 1 and December 31, 2026. Eligibility is determined through an application and assessment process. Children may be considered for early entry if all required documentation is submitted and the assessment criteria are met.

While early entry to Kindergarten is available, families are encouraged to carefully consider what is best for their child’s long-term academic and social success. Most children are most successful when they begin kindergarten at age five.

Your student's school is determined by where your student resides. Please click on the icon below, type in your street address, and select the pull-down menu to select "grade" level. For Kindergarten students, select Grade 1 to find your school location.
